As a representative of the People of the State of California, the District Attorney’s Office has the responsibility to prosecute all criminal matters in the County of Sonoma. We have a budget of nearly $33.7 million and a staff of more than 128 employees.

PG&E Resolves Prosecution of Kincade Fire
Sonoma County District Attorney Jill Ravitch announced today that Pacific Gas & Electric Company (“PG&E”) entered into a Stipulated Judgment to resolve pending criminal and civil charges against of PG&E related to causing the 2019 Kincade Fire. The Judgment, approved by the Honorable Patrick Broderick, orders PG&E to implement numerous wildfire safety measures in Sonoma County. PG&E’s compliance with these safety measures will be reviewed and monitored by a team of independent experts in the energy field for the next five years.
