Santa Rosa Woman Sentenced to Thirty-Six Years Prison for Child Molestation
SANTA ROSA, CA | January 30, 2026
Christina Renee Whisman, 45 years old of Santa Rosa, was sentenced Thursday January 29th by the Honorable Paige Hein to serve 36 years in state prison after pleading no contest in November of last year to three separate charges of engaging in lewd conduct with a child under the age of 14 by force, fear, or duress; one charge of providing cocaine to a minor; and one additional charge of child molestation.
District Attorney Rodriguez stated, “This defendant, in a calculated manner, took advantage of her position of trust and authority to manipulate and violate a young child. This was textbook grooming, over years, to establish the trust of children, with the only goal of using them in the worst way imaginable.”
The charges resulted from an investigation which began in May 2024 when Santa Rosa Police received information from a mandated reporter about a woman in Santa Rosa who had been hosting parties at her home for years that involved alcohol, drugs, and underaged children. One of those children came forward and described a lengthy history of grooming and sexual abuse at the hands of Christina Whisman. A subsequent investigation by Santa Rosa detectives ultimately lead to Whisman’s arrest in December 2024. When Whisman was confronted with the child-molestation allegations, she admitted committing the reported sexual abuse.
At sentencing, Judge Hein called Whisman’s crimes “extremely hurtful and traumatic” and reminded her that “your actions [had] serious consequences for you, your victim, [and] your family….” Judge Hein agreed that the lengthy prison sentence was in the interest of justice and ordered Whisman to serve the aggravated term of ten years for each of the three counts of child molestation with an additional six years for providing cocaine to minors. Whisman is now also required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of her life.
The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Brian Morimune with the assistance of Detective Luigi Valencia of the Santa Rosa Police Domestic Violence Sexual Assault Unit who headed the investigation.
