For Immediate Release
South Carolina Man Sentenced to 34 Years in Prison for Child Sexual Assault and Human Trafficking
Santa Rosa, CA | June 05, 2025
Jordan Evans-Ramirez, 20 years old of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, was sentenced by the Honorable Ken Gnoss on Tuesday, June 3rd in Sonoma County Superior Court to serve a sentence of 34 years in state prison after having pled guilty in May of this year to a series of sexual offenses against two minor victims.
District Attorney Carla Rodriguez stated, “Mr. Evans-Ramirez essentially extorted two 13-year-old victims through social media platforms using a pattern of coercion and blackmail. I cannot imagine the psychological and physical toll that these two young girls suffered. Their bravery in coming forward brought a dangerous individual to justice and will undoubtedly prevent future harm to others.”
In February 2024, the Santa Rosa Police Department began to investigate an incident where, through the manipulative use of social media, Evans-Ramirez had coerced a 13-year-old victim into sexual acts by threatening to release explicit images of her to her friends and family.
In December 2024, after reviewing Evans-Ramirez’s social media accounts, law enforcement officers located a second victim, also just 13 years old, who the defendant had lured to isolated locations, coerced into sexual acts, and solicited sexual acts from by offering her controlled substances and monetary compensation. Messages retrieved from Evans-Ramirez’s accounts also revealed disturbing fantasies of violence and domination, underscoring the deliberate nature of his crimes.
On June 3, 2025, Evans-Ramirez entered guilty pleas to several charges, including forcible sexual assault on a child, possession of child pornography, and human trafficking of a minor.
At the sentencing hearing Tuesday morning, a statement provided by the initial victim noted the significant psychological and physical trauma Evans-Ramirez had inflicted on her, and how she will remain impacted and fearful of him for the remainder of her life.
The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Alex Fisher. Detective Matt Sanchez of the Santa Rosa Police Department headed the investigation.
