Man Sentenced To Prison For Assault With A Deadly Weapon, Resisting A Peace Officer With Force, And Brandishing A Replica Firearm

Defendant Jaime Tapia-Vasquez, 38 years-old of Santa Rosa, was sentenced earlier today by the Honorable Dana Simonds to serve 3 years and 8 months in state prison after having pled “no contest” in September of last year to felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest with force, as well as misdemeanor charges of battery on a peace officer and brandishing a replica firearm. Man Sentenced To Life In Prison For Multiple Felonies Including Attempted Sexual Assault, And Attempted Murder Of Peace Officer

Defendant Sean Seeman, 27 years old of New York and Alabama, and recently transient in Santa Rosa, was sentenced Tuesday morning by the Honorable Dana Simonds to serve 29 years and 6 months-to-life in state prison after having been convicted of multiple felonies in two separate jury trials earlier this year. Martin Fonseca, 55 years old of Santa Rosa, was sentenced yesterday by the Honorable Bradford DeMeo to serve 24 years in state prison after having been convicted by a jury in June of this year of eight counts of Lewd Acts Upon a Child, against three different children, all under the age of 14. Defendant Yonas Tesfai Gebremariam, 40 years old of Santa Rosa, was sentenced yesterday to serve 18 years, plus 27 years-to-life in state prison following his conviction by a jury in April of committing multiple felonies related to a February 2017 shooting at a Santa Rosa residence. Homeowners Reminded to Make Sure Contractors are Properly Licensed for all Jobs over $500

In 2017, theTubbs Fire struck Napa, Sonoma, and Lake Counties and nearly 6,000 structureswere destroyed, many of them homes. Santa Rosa communities are continuing torebuild and although the Contractors State License Board's (CSLB) attention hasbeen focused on protecting disaster survivors from being victimized byunlicensed contractors, folks not directly affected by the wildfires shouldalso stay on their guard when hiring someone for home improvement work.
