Santa Rosa ManConvicted of Aggravated Sexual Assault of 8 Year Old Child Denied Parole

District Attorney Jill Ravitch announced today that the California Board of Prison Terms denied parole yesterday to 38 year old Pascual Jorge Pilotzi, who was convicted in 2007 of the aggravated sexual assault of an 8 year old girl. Read full story

Man Sentenced To Prison For Assault With A Deadly Weapon, Resisting A Peace Officer With Force, And Brandishing A Replica Firearm

Defendant Jaime Tapia-Vasquez, 38 years-old of Santa Rosa, was sentenced earlier today by the Honorable Dana Simonds to serve 3 years and 8 months in state prison after having pled “no contest” in September of last year to felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest with force, as well as misdemeanor charges of battery on a peace officer and brandishing a replica firearm. Man Sentenced To Life In Prison For Multiple Felonies Including Attempted Sexual Assault, And Attempted Murder Of Peace Officer

Defendant Sean Seeman, 27 years old of New York and Alabama, and recently transient in Santa Rosa, was sentenced Tuesday morning by the Honorable Dana Simonds to serve 29 years and 6 months-to-life in state prison after having been convicted of multiple felonies in two separate jury trials earlier this year. District Attorney Jill Ravitch announced today that her office, along with the District Attorneys of Alameda, Los Angeles and Napa Counties, settled a civil consumer protection action against a California company known as Fashion Nova, Inc. Martin Fonseca, 55 years old of Santa Rosa, was sentenced yesterday by the Honorable Bradford DeMeo to serve 24 years in state prison after having been convicted by a jury in June of this year of eight counts of Lewd Acts Upon a Child, against three different children, all under the age of 14. Defendant Yonas Tesfai Gebremariam, 40 years old of Santa Rosa, was sentenced yesterday to serve 18 years, plus 27 years-to-life in state prison following his conviction by a jury in April of committing multiple felonies related to a February 2017 shooting at a Santa Rosa residence.
