Defendant Jaime Tapia-Vasquez, 38 years-old of Santa Rosa, was sentenced earlier today by the Honorable Dana Simonds to serve 3 years and 8 months in state prison after having pled “no contest” in September of last year to felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest with force, as well as misdemeanor charges of battery on a peace officer and brandishing a replica firearm. District Attorney Jill Ravitch announced today that her office, along with the District Attorneys of Alameda, Los Angeles and Napa Counties, settled a civil consumer protection action against a California company known as Fashion Nova, Inc. Martin Fonseca, 55 years old of Santa Rosa, was sentenced yesterday by the Honorable Bradford DeMeo to serve 24 years in state prison after having been convicted by a jury in June of this year of eight counts of Lewd Acts Upon a Child, against three different children, all under the age of 14.
