District Attorney Jill Ravitch announced today that her office, along with the District Attorneys of Alameda, Los Angeles and Napa Counties, settled a civil consumer protection action against a California company known as Fashion Nova, Inc. SantaRosa Man Receives Sentence of 24 Years for Child Molestation

Martin Fonseca, 55 years old of Santa Rosa, was sentenced yesterday by the Honorable Bradford DeMeo to serve 24 years in state prison after having been convicted by a jury in June of this year of eight counts of Lewd Acts Upon a Child, against three different children, all under the age of 14. Santa Rosa Man Sentenced for 2017 Shooting

Defendant Yonas Tesfai Gebremariam, 40 years old of Santa Rosa, was sentenced yesterday to serve 18 years, plus 27 years-to-life in state prison following his conviction by a jury in April of committing multiple felonies related to a February 2017 shooting at a Santa Rosa residence. District Attorney Jill Ravitch has announced that defendant Carl Hoyt Gibson, 89 years old and formerly of Sonoma, was denied parole on December 12, 2019, at a hearing at the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s California Healthcare Facility in Stockton. Read full story

Homeowners Reminded to Make Sure Contractors are Properly Licensed for all Jobs over $500

In 2017, theTubbs Fire struck Napa, Sonoma, and Lake Counties and nearly 6,000 structureswere destroyed, many of them homes.
