Jury Scam
Published: January 25, 2022
We have previously issued alerts regarding this scam but have received recent reports that consumers are receiving calls again falsely advising that they have failed to report for jury duty and that the police are coming to their location or that an arrest warrant will be issued unless the person pays a fine. If you fail to appear for jury duty, you will not be contacted by the police. You will receive a postcard in the mail from the County of Sonoma. Do not provide any payment or information if you receive such a call. If you are not sure, if you have received a jury summons, contact the Jury Commissioner at (707) 521-6640.
